When I think about what my priorities are in life, one word sticks out at the moment and that is “Adventure”. Exploring our local area, adventures through our beautiful country and whenever we can – heading overseas to experience the world. Above all else, this is what I want in my life.
I used to hate mornings. If you dared to speak to me as I shuffled around the house, searching for breakfast and rubbing at my groggy eyes, you’d likely be rewarded with a glare or a sigh or a snapped request of “It’s the morning – leave me alone.” I thought of mornings as a chore I needed to get through in order to begin my day and wouldn’t really feel “awake” until I had made my way to work.
this year is going be amazing. actually, last year was pretty damn good too. but why not try and top that?
I’m not going to make it.
I have this thought halfway through the very first walk on the very first day. It’s pretty clear to me that I’m unprepared. After only four hours of walking, I’m already tired – and this is the easy part; we haven’t reached any of the steep hills of the later few days yet.
Maybe having a child makes you more aware of the world that you are raising them in, and of the example that you want to set for them. Because it’s only in the last year that I’ve really thought about these kinds of things.

What’s your number one pick-me-up song?
[SHARDAE] God, that’s hard. I find I get a bit obsessed with songs or bands or albums and I’ll listen to them and only them until something better comes along.
